WE ARE CHRIST'S FRAGRANCE...

The Bible says we are the aroma (fragrance) of Christ. Let's spread that fragrance around!

2 Corinthians 2:15, : For we are to God the aroma of Christ, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.

Let it be known that you are God......

1 KINGS 18:36 "At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: "O LORD, God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command."

What's Abuse?

It's said Emotional abuse is a hard form of abuse to define...
Psychological/Emotional Abuse
the hardest form of abuse to define

this form of abuse can include name-calling, ridicules, degradation, destruction, torture, excessive criticism, inappropriate or excessive demands, withholding communication, and routine labeling or humiliations. Victims of this type of abuse usually react in ways such a distancing fighting back by insulting others or the abuser. According to readings, emotional abuse can result in abnormal or disrupted attachment disorder, a tendency for victims to blame themselves for the abuse, learned helplessness, and over passive behavior. This form of abuse is often associated with situations of power imbalance, such as abusive relationships, bullying, child abuse and in the work place. it was once reported that children whose families are characterized by interpersonal violence, including psychological aggression and verbal aggression, may exhibit a range of serious disorders, including chronic depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress dissociation and anger.

WHAT'S ABUSE?~By: Becky
I'm not trying to define abuse here. Its been done too many times already and most girls are probably told a gazillion times over what it means.
But I do want to refine the definition of abuse.
Many often believe that a girl is abused when her virginity is stolen from her or when she has been taken advantage of sexually. True.
But let me stretch this a bit further. Not many are aware that emotional abuse rates higher than sexual abuse these days amongst young girls.
What things qualify for emotional abuse?

If any man (young or old, friend or relative, handsome or not) leads you to believe that he loves you when HE REALLY DOESN'T, disassociate yourself with this person.
If any a person you are in a relationship with always demands things of you, requires you to do stuff for them and if you are doing it willing in the name of LOVE, you're in for a big surprise............its NOT LOVE!
If any person you are in a relationship with disregards your desires, wants, wishes and has an EGO that rules the relationship, my friend, you're being abused!!!
VERY IMPORTANT: If any person makes you believe that he loves you and leads you to sexual talk and activity very often, its time to get alert and call it quits.
If a person that you respect, look up to or admire and love in a clean way (relatives, leaders, employers, professors) starts talking personal and intimate stuff.....its time to draw the lines and stop speaking to the person.
If a person makes you think its your fault that he has sexually used you, that's emotional abuse of the worst degree!
I can go on with the list but the point is not to intimidate you but to make you aware.
Always remember, its never too late to talk to someone or to walk out of an emotionally abusive relationship.
Cheers!
Becky.

You are loved (Girls please read)

Here below is something written by Becky...
Julia

Hi,
I’ve come to understand that every young girl dreams of a ‘perfect’ wedding more than any other thing in her life. The sheer suspense of whom it will be that she will spend her entire life with fills her fantasies. She will often spend hours wondering who she will dance with on her wedding day, laugh with when she’s happy, cry to when she’s sad and shout at when she’s angry.
Being totally aware of how imperfect the world is, every girl stills dreams of a ‘perfect’ man. And surprisingly, ‘perfect’ here doesn’t mean financially sound, academically brilliant or physically charming. It simply means someone who loves her unconditionally. Very clichéd, but absolutely true. Every girl, no matter what race, what colour, what nationality or culture; wants to be loved.
Is this why young girls are taken advantage of everyday in this world? Is this why they are robbed of their innocence every minute? Even as I write this mail some girl some where is being raped, molested or sexually assaulted. Scary but true.
I have a message today for young girls. Not for their offenders. Not for people who walk into their lives, make them feel loved for a while and walk out. Not for those who mislead them. Just for the girls.
Jesus loves you. Just as you are. Unconditionally. He cares. If He would want to pick anyone from this earth to spend eternity with, it would be you. He knows how like being loved. He knows what you looks good on you. He knows when to speak to you and tell you just what you want to hear. He knows you like being held more than anything else in the world. He loves you.
Let’s not ignore such great love for what might seem tangible and momentary.
“For your Maker is your Husband, the Lord Almighty is His name. The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer- He is called the God of all the earth.” Isaiah 54:5
“I will betroth you to me forever; I will betroth you in righteousness and in justice, in love and in compassion.” Hosea 2:19
“Therefore now I am going to allure her; I will lead her into the desert and speak tenderly to her….In that day, you will call me ‘my Husband’; you will no longer call me ‘my Master’. Hosea 2: 14:16
I didn’t intend for this to be a chain mail thing but please pass this on to as many young girls as possible- sisters, cousins, daughters, friends, mates, etc. There may be people you know who are going through the toughest of things like abuse and emotional harassment that you never know of. It’s not something that can be detected. Do it for someone who needs it.
God bless you.
Love,
Becky.

Peacock~ India's National Bird

The Peacock, Pavo cristatus (Linnaeus), the national bird of India.
Peacocok is a colourful, swan-sized bird, with a fan-shaped crest of feathers, a white patch under the eye and a long, slender neck. The male of the species is more colourful than the female, with a glistening blue breast and neck and a spectacular bronze-green train of around 200 elongated feathers it is able to expand its tail erect like fan as ostentatious display.

The female is brownish, slightly smaller than the male, and lacks the train. These birds do not sound as beautiful as they look they have a harsh call. The elaborate courtship dance of the male, fanning out the tail and preening its feathers is a beautiful sight.

The peacock is widely found in the Indian sub-continent from the south and east of the Indus river, Jammu and Kashmir, east Assam, south Mizoram and the whole of the Indian peninsula. Found wild in India (and also domesticated in villages) they live in jungle lands near water. They were once bred for food but now hunting of peacocks is banned in India.
